(En español a continuación) (18, July, 2018) The Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BCBA) and the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (SSE) launched the Spanish version of the SSE Action Plan on Green Finance on 18 July, coinciding with the G20 meetings in Buenos Aires.

Panama’s stock exchange (BVP), an SSE Partner Exchange, announced the creation of a working group on sustainable finance formed by the main financial sector actors in Panama, including the stock exchange, regulators, the ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Environment, insurers, investors and financial intermediaries.

(15 May 2019) Nasdaq has fulfilled a commitment it made as an SSE Partner Exchange to provide guidance on environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting to its markets with the launch of its new global ESG reporting guide for public and private companies.

(24 June 2019) The Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) in collaboration with the UN SSE initiative held a workshop on Responsible Investing and ESG attended by issuers, potential issuers and investors.

(3 July 2019) Following the enthusiasm of the first two editions, Borsa Italiana and the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) organized and held in Milan the third edition of the Italian Sustainability Day. Companies, investors and institutions met in Palazzo Mezzanotte to discuss climate change and share their experiences on ESG topics in the transition towards a more sustainable economy.

(27 July 2019) Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) announced that it has issued an Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) disclosure guidelines for listed companies, as recommended by the UN’s Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative.

(September 2019) The Panama Stock Exchange (BVP) held its XX Investor Forum, an annual event aimed at sharing innovations in the financial market of Panamá and its region. Sustainability was at the center of this year’s edition. The Forum traditionally attracts many participants, with a record of 700 for this year.

(26 September 2019) Since its founding ten years ago, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges initiative (SSE) has grown to 90 exchanges, listing 50 thousand companies valued at over 86 trillion USD, and it is still growing.
