(16 September 2016)  The Sydney Stock Exchange has become the 60th Partner Exchange of the United Nation’s Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative and first Australian exchange to join this global partnership. The Sydney Exchange intends to make use of the SSE platform to improve transparency and further enable ethical and sustainable interactions in their marketplace.

(New York 3 March) This week the New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, launched a new central repository of ESG reporting resources on its website.

(17 July 2017, New York) The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) was invited to present the work of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative at the UN headquarters at a high-level political forum highlighting UN Partnerships with the private sector.

(21 September 2017) The Mongolian Stock Exchange signed a commitment to promote sustainable and transparent capital markets signifying its partnership with the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative.

(27 September 2017, Berlin) The SSE held a roundtable discussion alongside the 2017 PRI in Person conference to evaluate how regulators, stock exchanges, investors and issuers can enhance corporate transparency to build long term markets and drive capital towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

(Nairobi, 20 April 2018) The United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative addressed an African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA)  seminar on sustainable finance product and market innovations.

Stock exchanges from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republic of Srpska), Greece and Uganda announced their commitment to promoting sustainable and transparent capital markets by joining the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative.
