The United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative today launched its new SSE-IFC Gender Equality Database which tracks the gender balance of issuer’s boards.

March 8, 2022 International Women's Day. Today the UN SSE and IFC released new guidance on how exchanges can advance gender equality. This work was developed in strategic collaboration with UN Women and the SSE Gender Equality Advisory Group made up of experts around the world. 

The UN SSE initiative presented its recent report on gender equality on the corporate boards in Latin America as part of the Panamanian exchange Latinex’ annual event to celebrate International Women's Day (IWD). As part of the global event ‘Ring the Bell for Gender Equality’, Latinex is holding its 6th annual bell ringing ceremony on IWD to raise awareness for gender equality. 

Abu Dhabi, 18 October 2023 - The United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative launched the SSE Academic Working Group at the UNCTAD World Investment Forum with eleven founding members from academic institutions in six countries from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.

On 13 December 2023, the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (UN SSE) in partnership with IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and UN Women, launched two reports on gender equality in corporate leadership as part of the SSE’s Q4 2023 Quarterly Webinars:
