Rwanda: SSE and IFC work with exchange and national regulators on ESG disclosure

On 28-29 October, the SSE and IFC collaborated with the Rwanda Capital Market Authority and Stock Exchange to jointly organize the first-ever virtual stakeholders' consultation on the revised Corporate Governance Code in Rwanda. Over 40 representatives from the Central Bank of Rwanda, investment funds, financial institutions, and companies joined the capacity building workshop

The Korea Exchange (KRX) established the ESG Advisory Committee, an advisory body with external experts in the area of ESG policy as members, in order to play the role of leading the local capital market in encouraging ESG investment and creating a better environment for ESG disclosure. The first committee meeting was held on 3 November this year.

Exchange in Focus: The Budapest Stock Exchange Published Its ESG Reporting Guide

At the end of March 2021, the Budapest Stock Exchange published its first ESG Reporting Guide for Issuers. The Reporting Guide aims to help BSE-listed companies to understand the ESG approach, the importance of ESG reporting, the basic terms, actors, and processes involved as well as the roadmap that leads to the implementation of a stable reporting regime.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has published the ESG reporting Guidelines, an ESG reporting manual for listed issuers which structures and organises relevant guidelines and recommendations.
