About the event
During New York Climate Week, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges initiative and Chapter Zero Alliance are organizing an invitation-only roundtable, Board Stewardship on Climate: Navigating Uncertainty and Strengthening Leadership, to explore the evolving role of boards in supporting the climate transition. Kindly hosted by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the event will address the evolving competencies required of board leadership in the era of climate change, extreme weather and adaptation.
As climate change and nature loss reshape the business landscape, boards are being asked to navigate a broader and more complex set of strategic risks and opportunities than ever before. This discussion will bring together board directors, investors, exchanges, development partners and governance experts to explore how board stewardship has evolved over the past decade, the new competencies directors need to govern effectively, and how boards can be better equipped to provide oversight, challenge and long-term strategic direction in an age of uncertainty.
