Exchange in Focus: SGX to commit to 1.5°C-aligned climate target

Singapore Exchange (SGX) is committing to a 42% reduction in Scope 2 emissions by FY2031 from the base as at FY2021 (July 2020 to June 2021), pledging to set science-based emissions reduction targets that are consistent with keeping global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

SSE contributes to COP27 discussion on a global comprehensive reporting system

As part of the UN SSE’s COP27 activities in Sharm al Sheik, Egypt, SSE Academy Head Tiffany Grabski participated in a panel discussion on developing “A Global Comprehensive Reporting System.” Bringing together representatives of the private sector, standard setters and stock exchanges, Ms. Grabski highlighted the key role that capacity building plays in advancing this work. 

Stock exchanges welcome new ISSB Standards; UN SSE announces related capacity building activities

The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) this week launched two inaugural sustainability disclosure standards to meet the information needs of capital market participants, one focused on general disclosure requirements and one focused on climate-related disclosures. Stock exchanges are holding launch events around the world to introduce their markets to these new standards.
