At this year’s Euronext Sustainability Week, nature-related risk and disclosure will take the stage as Euronext hosts a free, expert-led, online workshop, Managing & Reporting on Nature. This workshop reflects a growing recognition among exchanges and issuers that nature, alongside climate, is becoming central to how companies assess risk and report to the market.
Launched in 2017 and expanded in 2023 to span Euronext's 8 marketplaces across Europe, Euronext Sustainability Week has become a leading platform for dialogue and education in sustainable finance, convening issuers, investors, policymakers and ESG experts through a programme of in-person and virtual sessions. In 2025, Euronext Sustainability Week welcomed more than 3,200 participants, over 34 events across Europe with 180 speakers and 200 investors. The inclusion of the nature workshop extends that programme to one of the fastest-moving frontiers in sustainability reporting.
"At Euronext, our ambition is to support issuers as sustainability reporting continues to evolve. Providing this certified workshop on nature reporting to this year's Euronext’s Sustainability Week reflects both growing market expectations and our commitment to providing practical guidance on the topics that matter to companies and investors.” Camille Leca, Head of ESG & Sustainable Finance, Euronext.

Nature moving up the exchange sustainability agenda
In September 2023, the TNFD published a set of recommendations and guidance to help organizations assess, report and act on their nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities. In 2025, the IFRS Foundation committed to build on these recommendations in the ongoing work of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). With demand for nature-related disclosures expected to grow sharply, Euronext has been ahead of the curve on this topic.
The exchange has been an early mover on the blue economy - the sustainable use of ocean and water resources. In 2020 Euronext became the first exchange to sign the UN Global Compact's nine Sustainable Ocean Principles. It has since contributed to the development of blue bond guidance, launched water-focused indices and blue ETFs, and run its pan-European Blue Challenge education programme for young entrepreneurs. That early focus on ocean and marine ecosystems, a critical component of the world's natural capital, positions Euronext ahead of many peers as nature-related disclosure moves into the mainstream.
Euronext is also co-chairing the UN SSE’s Advisory Group on Nature with the Botswana Stock Exchange. The Advisory Group is developing an Action Plan providing practical pathways to support exchanges in the integration of nature considerations into their markets and operations. The Action Plan is due to be published later this year.
Join the Managing & Reporting on Nature workshop
As part of Euronext Sustainability Week, Euronext is hosting a workshop for its issuers on Managing and Reporting on Nature as part of their sustainability week. Facilitated by experts from the UN SSE and TNFD, the workshop combines a 30-minute preparatory video followed by 3.5 hours of live, interactive facilitation and Q&A throughout.
The workshop is structured around four modules — Prepare, Align, Implement and Communicate — guiding participants from why nature is relevant to their organization through to identifying, managing and disclosing nature-related issues. Participants who complete both parts receive a CPD-certified certificate of participation. The session is aimed at professionals working in governance and leadership, strategy, risk management, investor relations and reporting, sustainability / ESG, and finance and treasury.
