Section 02 - Key Messages & Talking Points

Use these messages as the foundation for all your communications. They are written to resonate with board members and senior executives — the people who need to be in the room.

Messaging note: A common mistake in invitations like this is to address only the sustainability or ESG committee. The ISSB standards require all board members to understand and oversee sustainability-related risks — because these risks touch strategy, risk management, financial performance and public disclosure. Your messaging should reflect this clearly.

The "Why Now" Message

ISSB-aligned reporting is no longer on the horizon — it is here. Regulators, investors and capital markets around the world are moving rapidly to require companies to disclose how sustainability-related risks and opportunities affect their financial outlook. Boards that are not yet equipped to oversee this reporting face real exposure.

The "Every Board Member" Message

This is not a session for just one sustainability expert on your board. These are material issues that affect strategy, capital allocation, and long-term value. Every member of a board needs a working understanding of what this reporting requires.

The "Practical, Not Academic" Message

This workshop is built for directors. You will leave with a clear action plan, a board question guide, and the confidence to challenge management on sustainability data. In 90 minutes.

The "Your Market Leads" Message

[Your Exchange] is hosting this workshop to equip the boards of our listed companies with the knowledge and tools they need to stay ahead of investor demands. This is part of our commitment to a well-governed, future-ready market.

Section 03 - Email Templates

Four emails are provided: a primary invitation, a follow-up reminder, and a final "last chance" nudge with a follow up email for after the workshop. Use the timeline in Section 05 for recommended send dates. Adapt language to suit your exchange's tone — but keep the urgency and the board-wide audience in mind.

📌

Registration Link Required

Every template below contains a [REGISTRATION LINK] placeholder. You must replace this with the actual registration URL before sending. Registration is required for all attendees — this is how we manage Zoom access and CPD certificates. Do not send communications without this link in place.

Why this matters for every director:

Investors and regulators are increasingly expecting boards to demonstrate active, informed oversight of sustainability-related risks and opportunities. The ISSB Standards give a clear framework — and boards that understand them will be better positioned to protect and create long-term value. This workshop is designed to give you exactly that understanding, in 90 minutes, from the people who know the standards best.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Section 06 - Social Media Graphics Guidance

We recommend creating visual assets to accompany your social posts. Below are the specifications and a sample layout to brief your design team. Your exchange's visual identity should lead — with the UN SSE, IFRS Foundation, Chapter Zero Alliance and IFC's logos appearing as co-facilitators.

Brand guidance: The workshop should feel like your event — your exchange's logo, colours, and tone should lead. Include the partner logos (available for download below) in a secondary position to indicate co-facilitation. Do not make the workshop look like an external UN/IFRS initiative. It is your initiative, powered by expert partners.
