Event description:
This workshop will convene key partners from across the UN organisations, who play a key role in the advancement of regulatory frameworks, technical expertise and stakeholder reach across global capital markets.
The IFRS Foundation recently launched its Roadmap Development Tool, to help jurisdictions navigate the main considerations and decision points that are likely to arise as they develop a project plan for adopting or otherwise using ISSB Standards (a roadmap).
The Roadmap Tool aims to support regulators and relevant authorities as they work through the policy considerations and key steps of planning and designing their roadmap for the adoption or other use of ISSB Standards and assessing the implications of alternative decisions and approaches. The interactive sessions are intended to equip the audience with a deep understanding on both the Jurisdictional Guide, and content of the Roadmap Tool, and relevant guidance and educational materials, providing them with the knowledge and skillset for effective delivery of technical assistance in the drafting of roadmaps and regulatory and legal instruments needed to introduce ISSB Standards into regulatory frameworks. Throughout the workshop, an interactive case study will be used to enable participants to interact with the tool and consider the main considerations and decision points required for the creation of an adoption roadmap.
The session will provide a forum for discussion on how the IFRS Foundation and the UN organisations can use these tools to support effective implementation of ISSB Standards within jurisdictions and to facilitate peer-to-peer learning, supporting the delivery of the initiatives advanced in the Regulatory Programme, including the global facilitation and implementation of the Roadmap Tool within jurisdictions.
