The Financial Sector’s Role in Eradicating Modern Slavery

Modern slavery remains a persistent global challenge, impacting millions of lives and undermining human rights. The financial sector is uniquely positioned to help eradicate modern slavery through increased transparency, corporate due diligence, and responsible investment strategies.

To address this, the UN SSE is convening its first Open Advisory Group meeting focused on developing guidance for preventing modern slavery in public markets.

Purpose of the Webinar

This webinar marks the launch of the Zero Draft of the upcoming SSE Model Guidance on Modern Forms of Slavery. The event aims to gather critical feedback from a broad range of stakeholders across the UN system and global business community.

The guidance responds to growing demand from stock exchanges and investors for practical tools to identify and mitigate slavery risks within market structures.
